The Brain is an amazing organ!

Your brain may not be nearly so odd, but it is no less extrordinary. Easily the most sophisticated information-transfer system on earth, your brain is fully capable of taking the little black sqiuillers of this book and deriving meaning from it.

To accomplish this miracle, your brain sends jolts of electricity crackling through hundreds of miles of wires composed of brain cells so small that thousands of themcould fit into the period at the end of this sentence! You accomplish all these in less than it takes you to blink. Indeed, you have just done it! What's equally incredible, given our intimate association with it is this: most of us have no idea how our Brain works...

 

For example, go ahead and multiply the number 8388628 by 2 in your head. Can you do it in a few seconds? There is a young boy who can double that number 24 times in the space of a few seconds!!

There is also a boy who can tell you the precise time of the day at any moment even if he's asleep. There is also a girl who can determine the exact dimensions of an object 20 feet away! Yet none of these children have an IQ greater than 70!!

 

Ways of Improving the Brain

There are so many ways of improving the brain, but I will mention only a few. Ensure you keep your eyes on our blogs to get new updates!

 

  • Eat Less: Eating too much food has effect of decreasing blood-flow to the brain and increasing blood-flow to the digestive-system. Therefore if you are able to cut back on the total amount of food you consume, you will have enhanced brain functioning. In several lab studies, rats on a calorie-restricted diet had increased blood flow to their brains.
  •  
  • Brainstorm: A good brainstorming session to think of new stimulating ideas is a great way to think creatively. Brainstorming is actually a different way of thinking that will equip your brain with a quick creative boost.

 

Set Goals: Setting goals activates areas of the brain associated with thinking and action. Setting goals is great for achieving success and prosperity in life and boosting your brain.

 

Be Empathethic: Being empathethic and trying to understand the emotions of others is a skill taht your brain can learn fast. Being empathetic is definitely a powerful trait to have and allows your brain to relate to the emotions of others.

 

Read Books: Reading books teaches your  brain to adapt to absorb large amounts of  information in shorter periods of time. Books challenges your thinking abilities, and memorization skills as well as boost your vocabulary and critical thinking skills. Not only do you learn something from reading a book, but your brain power increases as you build up the book load!

 

Go for a Walk: Excercise definitely benefits the brai, and walking is a great form of excercise that is easy and very effective fotr boosting brain power. Walking puts your mind in a relaxed state of clear thought and brain function. Walking gives your brain a cjance to wander and free itself from any troubling thoughts.

 

Take Fish oil:  Fish oiul supplements re literally like a mambrane material for the brain The 2 primary components of fish oil which are EPA and DHA each acts to strengthen both the emotional center of the brain activity after taking fish oil for a while.

 

Avoid Junk food: Junk food has proven to decrease energy in the body and promotes brain fog. Cut some junk foods from your diet and reap the benefits of a calmer, focused and brain chemistry.

 

Play "Brain Age" : New games like Brain Age from the Nintendo DS and Big-Brain Acdemy help promote quick thinking and essential brain skills. Theses games work wonderful for improving thinking speed and natural problem solving skills. I've had the chance to playthese games and can personally vouch for their effectiveness.

 

Turn off the TV: Watching TV may not be the only reason which rotting begins in the brain but it is a key ingredient to the rotting process. A little TV will never hurt anybody but it does definitely change brain functioning. The act of watching TV slows brainwaves and causes a decline in brain fitness.

 

Deep Breathing: Deep breathing actually increases oxygen levels and blood-folw to the brain, 10-15 minutes of daily deep breathing can make a huge differnce in the quality of your life and brain functioning potentials.

 

I believe these points will help anyone who practices them boost their brain power!
